Vice presidential succesion was right in this case because the president died of sickness and then the VP had to take over. It is good we don't have to elect a different president

The Succesion act is the right thing because then you dont have to find a new president the vice president can just step up to be president.

The succession process was used in 1865 when Andrew Johnson assumed the presidency after the death of Abraham Lincoln. In 1868 Andrew Johnson was impeached, and President pro tempore Benjamin Wade would have become acting President. This posed a conflict of interest, as Wade's own vote on removal could have helped to determine whether he would become the acting president. I think this particular succession was scattered and chaotic.

It is tended for that we don't have to elect a different president and the next person in line will take that spot

One of the times the presidential succession process was used was when Franklin D. Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1945. Then Vice President Harry Truman became President.

Two months after succeeding Franklin D. Roosevelt, President Harry S. Truman proposed that the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate be granted priority in the line of succession over the Cabinet so as to ensure the President would not be able to appoint his successor to the Presidency. good, you do not have to deal with finding a quality subsitute, you already have one at Vivce Pres.

The succession process was used when Andrew Johnson assumed the presidency after the death of Abraham Lincoln. This was very interesting process because later he was impeached. I also found it interesting that many who have taken over were not liked and could not manage to get elected in an actual campaign.

The Presidential Succession Act of 1947, signed by President Harry Truman, changed the order to what it is today. The cabinet members are ordered in the line of succession according to the date their offices were established.
